Use

To determine the “caking capacity” of resin.

Device description

The resin tester was developed in close cooperation with the customer. This special device tests resins for their “caking ability” and is mainly used in the paint and varnish industry. The resin in the thermal pots is heated up to 60°C and then pressurized with the aid of a pneumatic plunger. After a predetermined time (hours, days, weeks) the process is completed and the resin can be checked to see how much it has “caked” and further analysis can be carried out. The heating elements can be preset to simulate different times. The device is equipped with a touch display and analysis software. There are five resin pots that can be pulled forward for easier filling of the samples, and the punch height is set manually using rulers.
